Ensemble E7 DevKit

Get started with the Ensemble E7 DevKit

The Ensemble E7 DevKit (DK-E7) is a cost-effective, single-board solution that brings out all signals on the device to easily access pins for power and performance profiling, prototyping, and more. The DevKit can be configured to operate as your choice of the E1, E3, E5, or E7 series MCU devices in the Ensemble family, with superset E7 series device having two Cortex-M55 CPU cores, two Ethos-U55 neural network processors cores, and two Cortex-A32 MPU cores.

Alif Ensemble SDK GitHub

This Alif Ensemble SDK GitHub page provides all the necessary instructions and tools to facilitate the development of applications on Ensemble processors including the Ensemble CMSIS DFP, Ensemble Azure RTOS CMSIS Pack, Ensemble VS Code template, and example and demo applications.

Ensemble E7 DevKit User Guide

(v1.5) This user guide shows how to configure and power up your Ensemble E7 DevKit (DK-E7) so you are ready to do application development. It also shows how to update the firmware in your Alif chip, how to download the compatible VS Code project template, and shows optional UART connections to the development kit.

Alif Security Toolkit

Quick Start Guide (v3.2) shows how to install the Alif Security Toolkit (SETOOLS) for Ensemble and Balletto devices and shows some common commands used during application development.

STOP: Users of DK-B1 kits with A3 revision silicon should NOT update to version 1.109.00! Please reference the Documentation Archive Library for previous versions.

NOTE: Beginning with the V1.107.00 release and onwards, the default tools configuration for the target device is the Ensemble E8 device used on the Ensemble E8 DevKit. If you are using any other kit or your own board, you will need to select the correct target device. See Section 4 of the latest Alif Security Toolkit Quick Start Guide for details on different ways to do this.

Alif Security Toolkit: (v1.110.00) for use with the Ensemble and Balletto devices or evaluation kits. After downloading your Toolkit, be sure to update your board to the same version by running the updateSystemPackage utility.

Alif SE Host Services API Archive

(v1.110.00) This archive contains source code for the Alif SE Host Services API software release.

Ensemble VS Code Project Template

This VS Code project template is for use with Ensemble devices. NOTE: After cloning this template file to a project folder, open up a terminal window in that folder and execute the command “git submodule update -–init”. This will load the board library sub-module.

Alif SVD for Ensemble & Balletto Microcontrollers

This file contains CMSIS System View Description (CMSIS-SVD) files for all Alif Ensemble and Balletto devices. These SVD files are current as of March 30th, 2026.
